Stoke City defender Sydney Agina has joined National League side Tamworth on loan. The 19-year-old full-back could make his debut for the Lambs in their match against Hartlepool on Saturday.
Agina joins fellow Stoke player Gabriel Kelly at Tamworth. He has made five first-team appearances for Stoke City, all in the Championship, and spent a month on loan at Forest Green Rovers earlier this season. The Kenya international made his senior debut for his country against Lesotho in June.
Stoke City, currently seventh in the Championship with 13 points from eight games, are in strong form ahead of their next fixture. The Potters travel to face Bolton on 10 October, looking to extend a recent run of four wins and a draw from their last five matches.
The loan provides Agina with valuable senior experience in the National League. His move comes as Stoke continue their Championship campaign from a position of strength in the table.
