The team has a busy pre-season schedule, with four friendlies and a training camp confirmed so far. The fixtures include Braga (July 10, behind closed doors, training ground), Crewe Alexandra (July 18, 3pm, away), Everton (July 28, 7.45pm, home), and Valencia (August 1, 6.30pm, home).

New Club Badge

A new club badge has been designed with the help of supporters. The badge features a shield divided into quadrants with red and white stripes, the year of the club's formation, a kiln to symbolise the city's industrial legacy, and a Stafford knot. Coates said: “We as a club are determined that our new crest will come to represent a successful era both on and off the field.”
