Stoke City transfer news: No West Ham contact over Sorba Thomas. The Potters are looking to bolster their squad with new signings. Stoke City have already brought in five new faces: keeper Josh Griffiths, centre-half Luke Graham and midfielders Svante Ingelsson, Djibril Soumare and Ethan Galbraith. The club remains active and is looking to upgrade at full-back, on the wing and up front. A move for Sarpsborg striker Daniel Karlsbakk seems unlikely at the moment too. Stoke have looked to find an answer at centre-forward from overseas in the last couple of windows and seem less inclined to make it three in a row. Winger Chinonso Chibueze, aged 20, has joined South Shields on loan in National League North until January. Academy director Jack Higgins said: “We have been actively looking for a loan move for Chi to begin his career in the senior game. He goes to South Shields with a strong academy background at Chelsea and with us at Stoke. “We look forward to watching his performances from afar and wish him the best of luck in the first half of the season.” Right-back Syd Agina has already joined Forest Green Rovers until January while season-long loans have been agreed for Tommy Simkin with Doncaster, Nathan Lowe with Hibs, Emre Tezgel with Wycombe and True Grant with Halifax Town.
