Stoke City have had a third bid rejected for Sarpsborg 08 striker Daniel Karlsbakk, according to reports. The Potters are in advanced talks for the 23-year-old forward, who scored 18 goals in the Eliteserien last season. Manager Mark Robins is keen to bolster his attacking options after a disappointing 17th-place finish in the Championship last season, with Stoke scoring just 51 goals in 46 games.
Who is Daniel Karlsbakk?
The 6ft 5in centre-forward has been prolific in Norway, netting 21 goals in all competitions in 2025. Karlsbakk began his career at Bryne FK before moving to Viking and SC Heerenveen. His breakthrough came at Sarpsborg, where he has become a clinical finisher with excellent movement and pressing.
