"Massive thank you to these two, who had the doors locked and everybody inside safe within seconds of it starting on the street," the manager said.
The pub manager also sought to reassure visitors about the city's venues. "Wolverhampton isn't a bad place to go, in fact we have some incredible bars and venues up here and guys like Ausama and Marva do an amazing job in keeping you all safe," the statement added.
